Choiceworks is a learning tool that uses a combination of 3 structured boards, visual images and built in choicemaking opportunities to effectively help children complete daily routines (morning, day & night), understand & control their feelings and improve their waiting skills (taking turns, not interrupting). The included companion books help teach your child about their daily schedule, dealing with transitions and managing their feelings."The ChoiceworksTM Visual Support System provides exactly the kind of communication support that enables children to follow routines, make choices and demonstrate appropriate behavior. This system is a fabulous tool to help children participate more effectively with greater independence." Linda Hodgdon, M. ED, CCC-SLP Author of Visual Strategies for Improving Communication"So many children are challenged on a daily basis in participating in and understanding social situations, and in regulating and expressing their emotions. The ChoiceworksTM Visual Support System is a well designed, high quality system for supporting children, their parents and professionals in daily routines and activities. It is an essential "transactional support" that is consistent with practices we have developed in the SCERTS Model."Barry M. Prizant, Ph.D., CCC-SLP"While designed with families in mind, the ChoiceworksTM Visual Support System would also be a wonderful addition to a child's school program, since it serves to remind parents and educators alike that we shouldn't just react to difficult situations- we should respect, teach, and support the child through them. The Choiceworks Visual Support System provides an ideal way to do just that!"Jennifer Twachtman-Reilly, M.S., CCC-SLP
REVIEW
Outstanding visual tool for my 6 yr old son with ADHD-C My son's feels that he has control of his mornings and evenings by easily setting up the wonderfully designed pictures for his daily schedule of activities. Gone are the tantrums because we no longer have transition issues because he follows the visual queues that he set up. LOVE IT! Let us not forget the other boards that help kids learn patience/waiting and choices. Again, we seem to have reduced the tantrums and outbursts because he is the one in control using the boards. The product is very sturdy, colorful and everything fits together for easy travel or just for storing. Overall, excellent product!! Why did it take so long for something to be developed to help our kids with ADHD, ADHD-C, autism, PDD, etc.. Thank you BeeVisual!

REVIEW
Not as Flashy, But A Very Good Teaching Toy! The Phonics Word Master is an excellent teaching toy, especially if you have a child struggling with basics of language skills.
Hooked on Phonics is primarily a tool to help teach reading skills, but this particular toy is interesting because it does an excellent job of pronouncing letters and words without lots of flashing lights and distractions that may inhibit children who are ADHD or autistic spectrum.
This toy ties the visual representations of letters and words together quite nicely with a straightforward pronunciation of the related sounds.
This toy should also be an excellent tool to help ANY kid learn the basics of reading.
Children understand the value of Wh questions when events are broken down into structured questions. These question sequences helps the child to answer questions in context. Each question sequence contains a "Where, Why, What, Who and When" question. "Why do you eat breakfast?" "Because you're hungry", is just a piece of arbitrary information. Putting questions into sequence gives meaning to the questions and helps the child understand an event. You eat when you're hungry, you make breakfast in the kitchen, you can eat cereal for breakfast, you wash the dishes when you're done and you need a spoon for cereal. These question sequences help a child make sense of their world. This pack has question sequences about all the things a child does at home. Some examples are hide and seek, taking a bath, brushing our teeth, baking cookies, doing laundry and eating breakfast.
Due to a trend toward inclusion, increased incidence, and increased and broadening diagnosis, many teachers can expect to eventually teach a child with an autism spectrum disorder. Children with ASD can be challenging to teach especially in a busy, noisy, elementary classroom. The very nature of their problems causes them to struggle with communication and socialization affecting all aspects of their lives. This book helps guide teachers through all steps of introducing a student with ASD into their classrooms, participating on an IEP team, developing a welcoming classroom, fostering social development and communication, plus moving forward into the curriculum. A special section for parents is also included.

REVIEW
emotion expression These cards are so colorful. I wonder how they got the kids to pose for such bizzare emotions: ie.:dismayed,elated. Overall, a great investment, but caution, many emotions listed are well beyond the comprehension of an adult let alone a child with learning delays. It may be difficult to use several of the cards due to the complex titling of particuar emotions. Who knew there were so many levels of happy, angry and sad!.

REVIEW
awesome equipment for little ones to get some winter exercise! We gave this trampoline to our 2.5 YO girls for Christmas and they LOVED it!! It is very well made and easily folded to be put away. We like that there is a cover over the bungee that gives the spring so there is no risk of getting their little feet caught in there. It gives them plenty of spring action without being extreme. I did notice that the back side (the side opposite the handles) do come up a bit with one of my girls since she really jumps high. I took the advise of one of the previous reviewers and placed the trampoline against the wall and it was fine with no risk of it flipping over. I can tell that when they get a little older and they stop using the handle, the flipping will become less of an issues as well.
Onto set up/putting it together. It is definitely MUCH EASIER with 2 people! The instructions were clear and my husband was able to do everything himself. However, when it came time to put the bungee in, it was much easier to have me help him pull to get the mat centered. I would suggest a pair of gloves when pulling on the bungee, your hands will get chafed (sp?). Outside of that, it was easy to put together. All the pieces fit together easily and nicely.
Overall, this is a good buy and safe with parental supervision!
