Real education for eager kids - BUY IT! I could not say enough good things about this program. My son has been playing it since he was 2 and has been learning shapes, colors, spacial concepts, music, computer skills, and to extend his attention span while learning. Because I have older children we have used several Reader Rabbit programs, but this is my favorite. It is good for a child who sees older family members using a computer but can't use the computer because he is too small. The graphics are sharp and entertaining without being ridiculous. Typing skills and computer mouse skills are not needed, but the basics of these functions are introduced by encouraging children to touch them. There is a baby program and a toddler program. They offer the same skills but in different settings. At first we did work together to learn how to play the many (learning)games but it did not take long for him to learn. You will not be disappointed with the features this has to offer, and no, it is not a glorified video in CD-ROM form. And it will be good until he reaches about 4 years old. This is not a computer babysitter, it's a learning tool. When used in conjunction with other teaching methods (like reading) you will see results in your children. I know I have!

Great product! This software is awesome! It is great for babies and toddlers that are just learning cause and effect. This is a favorite pastime for my special needs daughter who is cognitively at toddler age. Beautiful colors and moves as quickly as her fingers do on the keyboard! You'll love it.
Giggles' Computer Funtime For Baby delivers the right combination for your toddler: Fun, bonding and learning! Babies are naturally curious and love to explore -- we make tapping the keys fun for them and super-safe for your files. Babies are comfortably introduced to the computer and get to play happily with the keyboard. They can press one key, or press them all. Any curious key press entertains your baby with delightful animated shapes and cute loveable animal characters. Diamonds dive into the water when any key is pressed in Diving Diamonds, animals jump out from their hiding places on the Funny Farm, shapes spin in Spinning Shapes, stars shoot out from the center of the screen in Shooting Stars. Simply tap on the keys and get a response on-screen.

Fun program, but needs updating for OS X This program is lots of fun for a baby. It runs a little slowly on our 700 MHz G4 eMac, but our baby loves it. The only critique, though, is that it won't run on a limited account in OS X. The companion game, 123 & ABCs will let me set up the baby's account to allow me to add it to her account's limits list, but the Animal Friends does not. As a result, either I cannot run it on her account, or I have to allow administrator privileges to her account. I cannot do that since her sister also uses the computer.

My baby boy loves Giggles Shapes I purchased both Giggles Shapes and Giggles Animals for my 5 month old boy after I noticed I could not get on my home computer or my laptop with him wanting to hit the keys.
This program is very entertaining and teaches babies cause and effect, and has a good music selection that my baby likes.
I would highly recommend this program to any parent that has a child from 3 months to 2yrs.
My 9 year old boy even enjoys playing with these programs!

Fun This is a great game. You design your babysitter and start babysitting. You will get kids soon after you start. You start with kids around 4 to 12 months old and work up. Be sure you don't set your baby down behind the wall -- if you do, you won't be able to see it to pick it up again. I am 8 years old.
Amazon.com Reader Rabbit Playtime for Baby & Toddler introduces children, ages 1 to 3 years, to singing, dancing, words, parts of the body, movement, and more. Printable activities provide developmental exercises for your baby to practice while away from the computer. Any movement of the keyboard or mouse brings an instant response of colors, sounds, and motions. You and your child can interact by moving the mouse or by pressing any key, and with just alittle practice, toddlers can play the activities without help.
REVIEW
Easy for kids to do and FUN Reader Rabbit Toddler is the best software I have bought so far - its easy for my son to use (if kids cannot use the mouse yet most games work just by hitting keys) and has alot of fun activities. From the main menu you move a "Star flower" to one of nine fun activities - including an alphabet train where you match the letter key to the boxcar to see it open; a musical meadow where you move a bee from flower to flower to hear them play; a bubble castle where you pop bubbles to free the animals - it has a variety of fun activities that my son has loved from 18 months to 3+.
Amazon.com Disney's Winnie the Pooh Baby, designed to be used by parents and babies together, teaches a variety of early learning skills. Pooh and his friends introduce babies to shapes, objects, colors, animals, letters, numbers, seasons, music, and language. Parents guide their babies through several fun activities, such as Piglet Says, Pooh's Hunny Quest, Peek-a-Boo Tigger, Roo's Breakfast Symphony, and Painting with Eeyore. The development-enhancing activities are filled with music, humor, and all the charm of Winnie the Pooh and his pals in the 100 Acre Wood.
REVIEW
My daughter loved this as her first computer experience I too must come to the defense of this product. My daughter, now 18 months, has loved this since 9 months. We have Reader Rabbit and Jumpstart, which she enjoys, but is clearly more entertained by Winnie the Pooh and Friends. Granted, she may not think this is much different than a video, but she is learning to hit the keys, andunderstand there's a relationship with them and the action on the screen. The quality is great - the best I've seen for baby and toddler software.

BabyWOW indeed! My son, who is barely two, started playing with this about a week ago and is now a "mouse master." He can open/exit the program by himself and navigate through the basic menu to play the games he wants. There are no "wrong clicks," so it's very easy to use. Includes counting, colors, "first words," opposites, body parts, etc. Really is an amazing program that requires "active" participation. Much better than sticking your kid in front of a video for twenty minutes. I'd recommend this to any parent with an extra computer sitting around the house.
