Couldn't get it to work Buy a Sound Blaster Audigy. This card wouldn't work after hours of trying. The SB card took two minutes to install.

Allergy relief My husband has been having bad allergy & sinus problems. We believe they are caused by our 3 cats. So.. I purchased this item for our bedroom in hopes it might give him some relief from coughing & wheezing during the night. It started to help after the first night. Within the week no more wheezing & he is able to sleep through the night. I run it on high all day & then turn it down to med. or low during the evening. On high it sounds like a jet will be landing @ any moment but, on low it only makes a mild humming noise. We've been able to sleep w/no problem w/it on low. The fan does make it a little chilly if your the one sleeping closest to it. I'm looking to add a few more to other rooms since their so small. Lucky for my cats we found something that worked!!

Good but limited sound outdoors This is a good, well designed product that can resist rough treatment. The quality and volume of sound, considering its size, is excellent indoors, but outdoors, where it is supposed to be used, it gets inevitabily dispersed and is weaker than I expected.

Excellent, other than the crackles With a little messing up with the equalizer and speakers you can get the best sound there is.
The adjustable head band is really comfortable compared to the really awesome AKG K-701 that crushes your head until it hurts really bad. And the grip of the headphones are a little hard too. So i would recommend to probably put some wide object like a vase or a few dvd cases between your headphones for a couple of hours until it loosens up a little bit.
There's also some crackling sound. But that doesn't really bother me that much...
Final thoughts:
I could have rated this 4 stars but i don't think it's that bad to take a star off. Unless if I can make it 4.5, then iwould give it a 4.5 stars.

BEST VALUE in QUALITY Headphones These Turtle Beach Headphones are the best value I have found in high quality gaming headphones. When a "GREMLIN" broke my original set I jumped online and ordered another set since none of the ELECTRONICS BOX STORES in my area carried them. Had them in hand rapidly thank goodness. I was getting self concious about the duct tape and cable tie repairs I had made to my old pair even though they continued to work just fine. Nice but... This air cleaner works very well (takes the smoke right out of the room) but the permanent filter seems to have a flaw. It's made of a thick, fabric-like material and is in an accordian shape within it's frame. I vacuum it often so it is not clogged. But whenever the unit is on any higher setting other than "Whisper", it mades this very annoying whistling noise. I've removed the front magnetic cover while unit is on, poked around the fabric layers of the filter, and been able to alter the whistling noise, but haven't been able to eliminate it. I wrote toHamilton Beach about this design flaw and they graciously offered to replace the unit. They always stand behind their warranties. But the filter is the problem. If it was redesigned somehow to produce a different intake airflow, then a replacement filter would solve the problem. But there's no problem with the unit itself; it's how the air is pulled through the filter that causes the noise. So if "quiet" isn't really a requirement, this air cleaner works great!
