 Resum de la festa d'aniversari de calçats Pañella. Les emblemàtiques botigues sitgetanes van celebrar els seus 75 anys al servei de la vila, el passat 20 de desembre, amb una gran festa a la plaça de l'Ajuntament. La Sitjazz Band va ambientar la celebració i la plaça va omplir-se de gom a gom, de sitgetans i sitgetanes i persones arribades d'arreu per acompanyar la família Pañella, que va voler agraïr així el suport rebut durant tots aquests anys. Després de brindar amb coca i cava i veure un vídeo de la història de Pañella, realitzat per Hydra Media, Isidre Pañella i Virella, va procedir a encendre la seva sorpresa pirotècnica per donar la festa per finalitzada com a traca final.

 Nerja is an old fishing village, situated 60 km east of Malaga airport. It is a pearl on the Andalucian coastline. Comparedwith much of the Costa Del Sol, it has a distinctive character all of it's own. Lying by the Mediterranean sea, and being protected by the Sierra Almijara, it gives you an outstandingly beautiful landscape of green mountains gently sloping down to the sea.
From the beach, it is only 15 minutes drive up into the nature park of the Sierra Almijara, which brings you to El Pinarillo, the recreation area, from where you are surrounded by mountains, with views out over the sea. Two contrasts that meet each other to create something truly outstanding.
Besides its fabulous nature, you also have all facilities that a modern resort can give you. You seldom meet 'new' tourists in Nerja. People fall in love with this place and tend to come back again and again. Nerja's location also makes it a good base for discovering nearby interesting attractions such as the Alhambra Palace at Granada, the Sierra Nevada, and the city of Malaga which is a splendid cultural town with plenty of museums and shopping possibilities. The English stronghold of the Rock of Gibraltar is just a border away, and there are countless other sights.
Not to be forgotten nearby is, of course, the famous 'Caves of Nerja', which are the largest in Europe. Also Frigiliana is a Moorish mountain village, 15 minutes drive away, with an interesting history and architecture topped off by one of Al-Andalus's last Moorish castles. The Tourist information of Nerja is situated in the heart of the town, by Balcon De Europa. The staff are very helpful and can give you more detailed information about all of the above, and much more.

 Take a ride on former Guilford trackage between Watertown and Thomaston, Connecticut aboard an ex-Providence & Worcester U23B (2203). Guilford served frieght customers on this line until 1995. Soon after, the state leased these rails to the Naugatuck Railroad to operate tourist trains. Rumor has it that the Naugatuck is trying to start up freight operations on the line and even sparred with Guilford over Albert Brothers Scrap.
The 2203 was the last domestic U23B built by General Electric.

 Skagway (pronounced /ˈskægweɪ/) is a first-class borough in Alaska, on the Alaska Panhandle. It was formerly a city first incorporated in 1900 that was re-incorporated as a borough on June 25, 2007.[1] As of the 2000 census, the population of the city was 862. However, the population doubles in the summer tourist season in order to deal with more than 900, 000 visitors.
The Klondike Highway links the Alaskan coastal town of Skagway to Yukon's Dawson City and its route somewhat parallels that used by prospectors in the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush.
It winds in the state of Alaska for 24 km (15 miles), up through the White Pass in the Coast Mountains where it crosses the Canadian border to British Columbia (BC) for 56 km, then enters Yukon where it reaches the Alaska Highway near Whitehorse and shares a short section with that highway until north of Whitehorse, where it diverges once more to Dawson City. The highway is 712 km (443 miles) long.

 El acueducto de Querétaro, símbolo de la ciudad, es un acueducto monumental que se debe al benefactor de Querétaro, don Juan Antonio de Urrutia y Arana, marqués de la Villa del Villar del Águila, que lo mandó construir entre 1726 y 1735 para satisfacer una petición de las monjas capuchinas y de paso llevar agua hasta la ciudad. Según la leyenda, él estaba enamorado de una de las monjas y por eso gastó una inmensa fortuna para construir el acueducto.
La obra es una de las más grandes de México: consta de 74 arcos que alcanzan una altura promedio de 23 m y una longitud de 1280 m.

 Come check out some of the Pacific Harbor Seals that make the La Jolla Coastline their home. The seals bring over 100, 000 monthly visitors to the area where guests can get great photos and watch the seals lay out on the beach. The harbor seal pupping season runs from Dec thru Febuary and a rope barrier is put up to keep people away from the seals. A small group of people are trying to throw the seals off the only breading area south of Ventura California. Although there are tons of beaches for people around, they want this beach too!  As we were driving away from the Grand Canyon we noticed a load of people pulled off to the side of the road. We slowed down, thinking that there would be some nasty road carnage, but there wasn't. Just a bunch of people watching Elk. We joined in the tourist activity, and my wife caught a video of them.
