Jackson, NJ – It became aware to us this past week that the Corzine campaign has targeted GoKidsNJ for advertising through Google Adsense and while the advertising revenue we generated from the campaign was nice, we decided today to stick by our morals and block advertising from Jon Corzine’s campaign on this website, because Corzine’s financial policies are not in the best interest of children in New Jersey, in fact, his campaign and his decisions go against everything GoKidsNJ is about.
Jon Corzine on Schools – This past week, Corzine’s cronies introduced two legislative bills that will continue to further drive up the costs of education in our state by removing the ability for local school adminstrators to discipline ineffective teachers by essentially giving any teacher the same rights as a teacher with tenure, leading to higher legal and administrative costs for our schools. This legislation was PRO UNION and and ANTI-EDUCATION as it would take even more money from cash strapped districts and give it to employees, which will lead to the cutting of even more educational programs in our schools.
The other pro-union and anti-education bill introduced last week would make it hard for districts to subcontract out non-educational services to the lowest bidder. It’s obvious that these two bills by Corzine allies were intended to massage the unions for their support in the upcoming election, at the expense of our children.
No more tax rebates for families
Corzine feels that parents like us are not eligible for property tax rebates, even though we pay the highest taxes in the nation. These rebates were a built in stimulus that allowed parents in NJ the extra money to bring their kids to the shore, amusement parks or a nice New Jersey weekend vacation. Thanks to Jon Corzine, many families already strapped for cash will have to do without this summer, which could have a rippling effect on our entire tourism industry, for which GoKidsNJ is a staunch supporter of.
Driving away jobs
Just a few years ago, New Jersey was a desirable place to start a business. Thanks to Corzine’s policies and mismanagement, businesses are leaving our state in droves which makes it very hard for hardworking parents to find a job. So far this year, we have lost many great entertainment and family businesses in New Jersey because people in our state are wasting their money on taxes for a bloated government where friends and families make six figure incomes while the rest of us work hard for our money.
No thank you Mr. Corzine
While we appreciate your campaign’s taste for a good audience, which GoKidsNJ provides, you Mr. Corzine are not welcome at GoKidsNJ because your failed policies are having dire effects on our children, their education and their ability to enjoy the many wonders our state has to offer. Mr. Corzine, you wanted to close our state parks, favor unions over quality education and continue to send millions of dollars of our hard earned money to districts which abuse their state aid.
We hope to rid ourselves of your presence in November and we openly support Chris Christie’s business, education, open space and future vision of New Jersey. You cannot continue to hurt New Jersey businessess, families and children unchecked. Like your ads say, you are Obama’s friend in New Jersey, but you miss president Obama’s main campaign platform of CHANGE.
New Jersey needs a CHANGE. President Obama is correct, we need CHANGE and in November, we will have Change.
Goodbye Mr. Corzine,
GoKidsNJ
