Asbury Park’s Guinness Oyster Festival returns on Saturday, October 6th from 12:00pm to 6:00pm on Cookman Avenue after a hiatus of four years. This event is packed with beer, oysters, shrimp and clams as well as some of the best Irish music on this side of the pond. The Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce proudly hosts this event. The first Guinness Oyster Festival in Asbury Park was held on Cookman Avenue in 2003 with 7,000 people in attendance. It was a great success. This year’s event will prove to be a momentous occasion with a well-known Irish headliner and the lineup filled with local and regional Irish bands. “ We are thrilled to host the Guinness Oyster Festival in Asbury Park and we invite everyone that wants to have a great time to come down and join the fun!” said Dennis Carroll, Retail Committee Chair, Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce.
